What is your "plan of action" when it comes to TTC
I was following Deanna's Plan but honestly, it was getting exhausting. DH works full time - I take care of an 18 month old full time. I just didn't have the energy for that.
Last month we BD on the day before my - the day of - and the two following days.
I'm thinking I need to expand my BD'ing days. Maybe start at CD12(I get my smiley between 14-16) - go every other day - until the day of my - then go three days in a row? Does that sound insane? Not enough BD'ing?
What do you do? What would you do?

Re: What is your "plan of action" when it comes to TTC
I use the CBEFM, and at first i was getting 5-6 high days before the peaks,so i think we were starting to BD like by the 4th high day and every other day until the high day that comes after the 2 peak days.
last month I got 2 high days and then the peaks. we had started every other day with the first high day. I had assumed i was going to get 5 like normally do, but only got 2 but we still did it every other day from then on.
Dr. said every other day is best as opposed to every day to get a "strong specimen" I know there are different schools of thought on that...

I know - and I was thinking about that also - the every other day rule.
Ugh - just wish I knew the right thing to do.
I have an appt. with my OBGYN this week that I'll need to cancel now that AF has arrived!

Re: What is your "plan of action" when it comes to TTC
well, having a 15 month old running around and trying to get DH to BD after a 11+ hour day is not easy.
We've been seriously slacking but this upcoming month I'll be follow Deanna's plan, using OPK's, trying to pay attention to EWCM and possibly temping.

Diana - that sounds fine!
IMO, Deanna's plan is excessive and not doable for everyone!
IMO, the most important days are your +OPK day and the next 3 days. If you get those in, I'd say the rest doesn't really matter...

Re: What is your "plan of action" when it comes to TTC
honestly, i would not drive yourself crazy with all that BDing! (NEVER thought i would say that about BDing, by the way, but it is TRUE with a busy schedule and a toddler!! ).
if you BD every other day on days 12, 14, 16, and 18 you should be totally covered.
i know it's hard to let go of the "more is better" idea... but it's really not. every other day is more than enough, and in some cases (i think me/DH are one) it is actually BETTER for getting pregnant. can't hurt to give it a try for a couple months and see what happens!

Re: What is your "plan of action" when it comes to TTC
I bought CBE OPKs but I honestly think I won't use them just yet. I don't want to start TTC so "conscious" of things, just yet, KWIM? I honestly will be fine if it doesn't happen for a bit (I expect it to take a few to several months). So, my plan of action this month is just to BD as much as we can the week I expect to O (pretty much better 14-20 since I usually O around 16/17).

Re: What is your "plan of action" when it comes to TTC
DH and I BD every other day and I don't think that worked for us this month I think if we need to TTC nxt month (hoping not) we will do every other day from CD11/12 and then every day when I got a + that I am ovulating

Re: What is your "plan of action" when it comes to TTC
We are trying to BD the week I ovulate. But my cycles have been getting longer and longer so it's hard to tell. We don't use opk's, but I think next month I will pick some up.

According to FF, you are better BDing the days before you O, so you might want to expand that way.

Re: What is your "plan of action" when it comes to TTC
the last few months we've been BD'ing every other day from when mymonthlycycles said i should be O'ing. it says i usually O'd around day 12, so we were BD'ing every other day starting cd10. but since that hasnt worked, i decided to start earlier this month just in case im an early O'er so we've been BD'ing every other night since cd6...and loving every minute of it!

Re: What is your "plan of action" when it comes to TTC
ugh...I have heard so many things. I think Deanna's plan is too much too. I think your strategy of doing it 2 days before and during Oing is great... maybe doing it every day is depleting the sperm though? Maybe do it just every other day starting day 10-16? that is what I was told once, but who knows???!!!

Re: What is your "plan of action" when it comes to TTC
i don't know...I am messing myself up all over the place
I have always had a 28 day cycle.
now out of nowhere, these last 2 months, I am 31 days.
I have to stop with the calendar, and just have sex with DH every other day.
Like I should be doing anyway

Re: What is your "plan of action" when it comes to TTC
I tried Deanna plan but BDing so much dries me out. So we decided to bd every other day from the time a get a high up until a few days after I get the peak on the CBEFM.

Re: What is your "plan of action" when it comes to TTC
honestly...the day you ) and day after is your most fertile period. So I would BD every day fromt he day you got you + OPK and the next following. Try it that way.
I think making it such" work" CAN have an impact on you.
Stress releases cortisol into your system which can affect Estrogen levels. So I always tried to make sure we had fun and took a step back of it was getting too be too much...cause a schedule sucks ya know?

Re: What is your "plan of action" when it comes to TTC
well, tomorrow will be my first day off BCP. We are going to wait about two cycles to really start trying. We said we would let nature take it's course. If it doesn't happen within three months then we will start charting and stuff.

Re: What is your "plan of action" when it comes to TTC
We BD every other from CD 10 through CD 18. I just can't do any more. I work full time, I'm a full time mom to a 17 month old, it takes everything I've got just to do that

Re: What is your "plan of action" when it comes to TTC
Diana, do you continue to test after your initial ? Is it possible you have a 2 or even 3 day surge and O later than you're thinking? I remember you saying recently that your LP seemed to be about 17 days based on when you got your . Perhaps this month test until you get a negative.
I sometimes get the early indicator of fertile CM and / or mittleschmertz a few days prior to my . When I'm lucky enough to see / feel that we start BD every other day. Then we BD every day from when I get my first until (and including) the day I get my negative (I have multiple-day surges).
ETA: I also temp because of my wacky cycles (very long, VERY irregular and multiple-day surges; without temping I'd literally have no idea when or if I O'd).
