we are staying home with ds ,too cold out! This is the first year we are not doing anything and I'm kind of sad about it!

We aren't doing anything too exciting. My BIL & SIL are having family & friends over, so fortunately it is a short distance to the house. I am sure DH & I will be home sleeping by 12:30

Your DH must be a cop- because that sounds AWFULLY familiar.
My cop might be off tonight- but even if he is- we will be doing a big fat nothing as well!

ME! DH will be working too, in Manhattan. Has to be there at 6pm. Our son (20 mos old) will be passed out by 8 and I'll TRY and stay awake til midnight!

DH and I are doing nothing and I am so excited  We were invited a bunch of places, but would prefer to just relax at home with a bottle of wine and not worry about the drunks on the road.

I thought I knew what I was doing but now.......I have no idea!!! My daughter was due today so I am on baby call!
She was supposed to have the baby this past friday so I was going to be staying at her place.

We never go out on NYE.I was once in a car accident years ago no one was hurt, someone else was driving, but I will never forget it- the man who hit us was at a light and he was drunk. We usually have appetizers in the late afternoon- watch a movie on tv or rent one, and have a nice dinner and then watch the ball drop.
I am not a big NYE person, I would be happy just going to bed and waking up and it is the new year.

Dh is working, so at best I may be hanging out at my parents house. It's become sort of a New Years Eve tradition. My parents don't stay up till midnight, so I usually set my alarm on my phone and wake up to call DH or wait for his call to say Happy New Year.

We are staying in as well. My boyfriend and I are going to go out to eat and then head back to his house for some quality television...LOL and for just hanging out. Too many crazies on the road tonight and we don't want to be out and about! We aren't too into the party scene so this works for us Happy New Years every one

We're not doing anything special. We were going to go to a party, but the hosts have decided over the past few days that they would be separating, so it was cancelled. We could've found something else to do if we'd hustled, but we're just going to take it easy and chill at home instead.

im just waiting for DH to get home from work, picking up takeout, changing into our pj's and watching the ball drop from the comfort and warmth of our living room! wouldnt wanna spend it any other way!

Same here...nothing much going on. DH got his shift switched to a day tour today, so he will be home, but probably not much before midnight. We were supposed to go to our friend's house, but I really don't want to drive on NYE  Happy and healthy New Year to everyone-no matter what your plans are!

I am not doing anything but it's by choice - I can't stand NYE for a bunch of reasons.
ditto! We are quite psyched that HBO2 is showing a True Blood marathon though...since they took it off on demand, I'm looking forward to catch up with the ones I missed.
