People who use a seatsaver under your carseat
Do you think it actually holds the seat in tighter?
Or is it really just serving the purpose of keeping your seat clean?
I ordered a Prince Lionheart one from Target and it should be coming any day now.

My DH says they aren't safe. He is certified to install car seats, he had to take a course for his job.

I put a towel down but not to make it tighter, it keeps it clean.

NO WAY 
I bought it because I'm getting a new car AND I thought they are supposed to be safer and keep the seat more snug
The one I got is rubbery and has no accessories or anything.. I don't know if that makes a difference

I have the prince lionheart one in my SUV and i have never had a hard time getting the latch tight on the seat... It truly doesn't move one bit when i'm done... It keeps the leather seats from getting dented by the tightness of the carseat.
I never heard that they were not technically safe until just recently...

I took ours out when I read they aren't safe. The carseats are right on my leather seats without a problem

I believe that the other girls had their seats installed by someone who is certified in this.

Thanks! I was going to have my carseat installed at the FD. I guess it's better I know now.

Thats good to know, we used to have one because we had leather in the Tahoe now we have cloth and I wanted to get another one just to save the seat but I dont think I will be now.

Do you know if your DH would ever put something under the car seat? The state troopers did ours. We dont have center latch and because of the headrests the seat has to go in the middle with the belt. When they were putting it in they were talking about putting something under it for a tighter fit. They didnt need to.

I'd like to know WHY they are considered unsafe? The car seats are tethered to the frame of the seat. You shouldn't be relying on friction to keep the seat in place. I'm not sure how it would make a difference, unless there are some laws of physics that I'm not aware of....
