Clogged Drains: UPDATE w/ product RAVE!
What is the best product that you have used for unclogging a shower drain? Our shower is barely draining at this point. I just used Liquid Plumber Foaming Pipe Snake and it did absolutely nothing. HELP! TIA!
UPDATE: Thanks for all of your input. We tried the plunger, no luck. We tried the Pequa, no luck. We tried a snake, no luck. We tried this pressurized water thingy that FIL had, no luck.
Finally, today, after having to go to my ILs to shower, we bought the Kleer Drain Instant Drain Opener at Home Depot for $25. It sends pressurized air through the pipes using a cartridge and disc. The first time, DH got sprayed with dirty water, and the water started moving a little bit. The second time, everything went down the drain! We had scheduled an appt. with Roto Rooter for tomorrow, and cancelled it. I cannot rave enough about this product!!

Home Depot sells a liquid item that is amazing. Can't remember the name of it, but I do remember that they make it in Massapequa. I'm from there so I always remembered it. Sorry I don't have the name of it!

Re: Clogged Drains
Have you tried plunging it with a toilet plunger? This sometimes dislodges clogs enough to clear things up

Re: Clogged Drains
My Dad taught to taking really hot boiling water - at least a full tea kettle and pour it down the drain. If that didn't work, I'd put liquid plumber down, then follow with really hot boiling water.

I was going to suggest this also.
We have done this when we had a really bad clog and the Drano stuff wasnt working. The plunger moves the stuff enough to get the Draino past it.
Try that it should work

Re: Clogged Drains
hate when that happens..
Sometimes it helps to unscrew the drain covering and dig around in there to get all the gunk out. its pretty gross, but you'll see that when you can remove a big clump of hair and nasty slime that the water will go down a lot faster eww, its gross but it works!
