Thanks, everyoneChat Icon Chat Icon
We decided not to take her tonight. She was doing better by the time she went to bed. We started to think she was milking it a bit because when she thought we weren't watching, she was standing on it a bit, but when we'd ask her to walk, she'd fall to the ground and tell us it hurtChat Icon
JT's going to take her tomorrow if it's not better. Thanks for the well-wishesChat Icon

take her. I have heard the cases where people didnt know bones were broken because they could still use the appendage--and these were adults so imagine a child. Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

ETA saw your update--hmmmm with the new info definitely the right call to wait lol

Hope she is ok! If she complains of it even once today without prompting her, I would take her to the doctor and she what he/she says.

if she complains about it today i would take her. it could be a very minor fracture that might not swell too much (it all depends where the fracture is, whether it is displaced or not, etc). can't hurt to get an xray if it's hurting her.

I agree! My dh's little cousin broke her arm when she was around 3 and her parents didn't find out for 2-3 weeks cause she wasn't complaining about the pain, until her mom made her grab something.

Hope she is okay thoughChat Icon

Re: At what point should we consider taking her to the emergency room?UPDATE

Hey everyone,
I just wanted to update that we ended up having to take Ava to the ER today because she woke up screaming in pain this morning when she got up to walk. I was already at work and got a frantic phone call from JT that she was in so much pain (and for him to call me at work is absolutely 100% rare). So we decided that I would meet htem there. Well, I got ANOTHER even more frantic phone call from JT while he was on his way with Ava that she fell asleep, then woke up and vomitted all over his car, herself and the carseatChat Icon and that I had to go get them because she couldn't stay in her carseat the way it was. Man was he rightChat Icon Needless to say, 3 hours and two outfits later, she has no breaks or sprains, just some bruised bones that might hurt a while, and an incredible disappearing stomach virus because she's been perfectly fine since this afternoonChat Icon Phew! Long day!
