HOLY $$$
I just got my medical bills for my prenatal care and then my D&C from my previous pregnancy. $1,867!! 
My deductable for the year is $2,000 and we hadn't been to the doctor at all this year except for my OB appts. I have Blue Cross/BlueShield and my insurance covers 85% of my prenatal care.
Does this bill seem high? I was only pregnant for 3 months... 
Anyone else dealt with this??

honestly, and unfortunately, it does not seem high
i just got a copy of the claim from when I fell and scraped my knee, went to L&D for 5 hours and was on the fetal monitor for 3 hours - the claim was about $2400 and that was no actual "procedure"

last year when i first got pregnant- my first appt checkup at like 2 weeks(since i needed an exam) and full bloodwork ended up being $950 at hanauers office after insurance......
dnc last year ended up being alot also at winthrop-
CHeck into Flexpay for the 2009 year

When I was pg with DS I had the jewish panel genitic testing. The bill came in March 2007. I had the tests performed on 12/29/06 stupid me - I had to pay $1900 as my 2006 deductable and then for L&D for DS and his admittance so an additional $4000 all in 2007.

omg - unfortunately I work in hospital finance, and it doesn't seem high.
thank god dh and I don't have a deductible.
eta: I agree with the PP who said to look into another plan for the next year (if possible). This is usually the time when companies allow you to make changes to your health insurance.

I don't think it sounds high - I remember seeing the charges for just the bloodwork at my first OB visit - $800!
Medical procedures are insanely expensive.

My deductible is $2,000 per person - after my son was born I had to pay North Shore about $1,500. I called my ins company to go through it with them and we added my year to date charges that were applied to my deductible and sure enough that was my balance.
DS had his own bill on top of that  but it wasn't nearly as much.
We have flex spending to help with the deductible...no other choices for insurance.
