JcPenney Furniture RANT!!!!!!!!

We ordered a GORGEOUS furniture set from JcPenney way back in August. The crib came in, we set it up the other day, and it's absolutely everything we were expecting and more.

We also built the bookcase, and now we're just waiting on the dresser, which we were originally told would be in on 10/20, but then they pushed back the backorder date to 11/20.

We called them today to confirm that we will be expecting it next week, and they said "Oh, the manufacturer moved the date again to 12/14". UM, she's going to BE here by then, and since we're using the dresser as our changing table, we're not going to have a place to change her!!!

I told them I wanted a major discount, and they offered me a $50 merchandise credit for my trouble.

Did you get a pack and play wiht a changing table? I used that for months b/c it hurt my back to use the regular changing table!

That stinks! Can you cancel that part of the order and get the dresser from some other store that has it in stock? Or have they already charged you for the full set?

so can you use the PNP top portion to change the baby?

isnt there a changing table there?

That stinks!! The same exact thing happened to me with JCP- I think I had to wait almost 3 months and I was frantic because the crib came shortly before the baby and when they delivered it, the forklift had gone through the box and we had to deal with that whole situation. I called them once a week and had do do a lot of follow ups but I did end up getting it a "little" sooner, they were telling me it was going to be much longer.

Oh man, that stinks. how annoying!! Can you borrow a changing table from somebody for the meantime?

Wow...seems like a lot of us have had this issue

I think in the meantime we're going to stack some rubbermaid storage containers in the nursery and put the changing pad on top of that. We plan to use the PNP for changes, but only downstairs--our bedroom and the nursery are upstairs.

I guess my only fear after all this time is that they keep SAYING they're going to deliver it--I'm afraid that after awhile they'll just cancel the order and probably neglect to let us know.

The thing that kills me the most is that our nursery is a tiny room, and the dresser that we ordered is one of the few pieces we found that fits into the wall space that we still have left!!
