My OB decided to go away for the weekend--without telling any of her associates that she had approved me for the amnio, and if the results come back that DD's lungs are ready, an early c-section.
Right now I am hanging in there, but the mornings are brutal. It takes a LOT to make me cry, but getting out of bed in the morning is so extremely painful that I literally don't understand how I haven't gone into early labor.
The bad news: I had tapered the pain killers WAY down in the past few weeks, and now I'm back to taking a Vicodin every 4 hours.
I can't wait to give my OB a piece of my mind on Monday. She is really going to get it.
Please continue to pray for my baby girl--I've put her through so much these past few days and I just want her to be here already, so I can finally do something about this pain.

You have had such a tough pregnancy...I hope they can do something to give you the relief you need and that your baby girl is safe and sound...

I hope they get this straightened out for you Monday so that you know when the end of all this will be.
Your DD will be fine. Don't stress about the Vicodin. The level of pain you are in is probably worse for her. It's better for you to get some relief and some rest.

When my back pain relapsed, I called my OB and she said I could have an amnio to determine whether DD's lungs are mature. If they are, I can go in for an early c-section so they can finally fix my back.

I feel so bad for you. I know the pain I was in before my fusion and can only imagine your pain with the pregnancy. I hope you get your amnio soon and get relief.

hope you feel better soon, I know you've had a very rough pregnancy, it will be so worth it when you have your tiny baby in your arms! Don't yell at your OB till after the baby is born

I am so sorry you are in so much pain... I cannot believe your doc didn't leave special instructions for you with her practice due to your special circumstances.
Well, hopefully this will be all over soon-- you'll be pain free, and have your little girl!

I would demand to have it done ASAP, I'm so sorry your Dr just left you high and dry! That is awful.
