 Re: House keys
My sister, my best friend, and my neighbor. They are scattered around LI , my first person I would go to is my neighbor- if i get locked out by accident. This happened once.

My in laws so they can feed the cats when we're away. I want the neighbors (it's a duple type thing) to have one, just in case something happens while we're gone but DH doesn't want them to have one.

 Re: House keys
My parents had a set but moved out of state. I also like to lock my keys in the house. So now I gave a set to my best friend. It has come in handy.

 Re: House keys
huh - my mom, my brother, my in-laws, my bil (sometimes he works "from home" in our basement, since his house is under major renovation - this is temporary), my sil. No one ever uses the keys to just barge in, however, since we all live within 20 mins of each other (if not closer) it's handy if we lock ourselves out, or if, for some odd reason, we're somewhere and need to meet back at the house and someone gets back here before us, or (most importantly) if someone is taking care of the dog or bringing back the babies from somewhere before we get home.... Everyone's very respectful and doesn't abuse key privledges....

Do any of you have security alarms? Do you give the code out too? Just curious.

My ILs have a set of our keys. They do have the code to the security system, if they needed to get in.
There have been a few instances where I left my keys in another jacket or something only to pull up into the driveway to realize I didn't have them. Luckily my ILs live less than 10 min away, so I just go over to their place to get the keys.

 Re: House keys
my mom, sister and aunt all have keys. we have the keys for our neighbor. i keep meaning to make a copy of our keys to give to our neighbor.
if we had an alarm, i would give the code to them as well.

 Re: House keys
as far as the alarm goes...I can set several different codes. So each person who has a key gets their own code.

Nobody has our keys but us. Haven't had a reason to give them out yet.

My ILs have a set. If we're away, they take in the mail for us. They know our security code.
My parents also have a set of our keys, but they live an hour away, so I don't know when they will really have use for them!

 Re: House keys
We have a set to my mom and MIL's. We live in FL and it is easier to have a set so we dont have to wait if we visit. It is vice versa they both have keys to our house and the same if they visit they can get in.
