Has anyone used Space Bags...the bags you vacuum the air out of? I'm thinking about buying some but wonder if the really work.
Thanks!

Re: Space Bags
They work great!
My daughter used them in her luggage when she went away to school.
Helped A LOT with space.

Re: Space Bags
Does anyone store them in a basement or attic? You know how sometimes things get that attic basement smell...lol.

Re: Space Bags
We used them, but after 1 season of then emptying them and trying to use them again with a new season's worth of clothes the plastic became very brittle and broke. So they are good to store things that you will not be opening anytime soon, but not for reusing season after season. I was disappointed in this because I spent a good deal of money on a lot of them.

It will be clothes that will not need to be opened for a very long period of time. My maternity clothes and all of DS's clothes he outgrew.
I agree they can get expensive...that's why I wanted opinions before I bought them...lol. Half of those "as seen on tv" things never work!!

They're great! When we moved across country my dh put 2 pillows and a down comforter (queen size) in one of them and put it his luggage.

Re: Space Bags
I loved them also-used them to move to SC. You do have to be very careful with them as they seem to rip easily. I think they are great for atorage and moving though. I think I bought 6 and have 3 left because the others ripped

Re: Space Bags
They are a hit and miss. Some of them work, some don't.
They have mixed reviews.
They are great for blankets for Summer Storage (when the bags work!).

Re: Space Bags
If you are going to get some, get the Packmate ones off QVC. They are great and they sell them in sets.

Re: Space Bags
The appeal is that they fit in more compact spaces. I can put a bin of close in a jumbo back and it gets so thin that it fits under my bed.

Re: Space Bags
I use them for bedding and they work really well. The only thing is that stuff isn't quite as flat as it looks on the commercial but I would still recommend them.

Re: Space Bags
I have them, they are great~! I put my entire wardrobe in there (when I was wearing maternity clothes) and they really save so much space. I would highly recommend!
