DS was gagging & choking last night.....
Poor thing I THINK he is teething, therefore has extra saliva and can't swallow it when he is sleeping. Every time we laid him down, he would sleep for 15 or 20 minutes, then had a choking gagging episode. This would make him scream uncontrolably.
Finally DH suggested the swing (which DS does not really like).
He has been in it since about midnight waking only every 1 1/2 hours or so instead.
Does teething cause congestion? He seems a little congested too Anything I can do?

my ds had this too. He had so much saliva that he would cough all the time and it prevented him from sleeping because every time he laid his head down, he'd have all that saliva.

Re: DS was gagging & choking last night.....
My son does the same when he teethes to the point he pukes. Typically is ok until about 2-3 am and then it starts. It started with the last few rounds of teeth and is getting worse now with the 1 year molars. I found benadryl helps him and us get sleep (we give it to him at the beginning of the gagging/choking episode at 3am episode and he is ok until 7/730 typically)- but he is 15 mos now so I am comfy doing so.
