I'm going food shopping at 10pm ALL THE TIME now!
I had some major food shopping to do this weekend, but today is DH's birthday and didn't want to waste the day at Waldbaums... I went last night around 10pm (while he was at the Islander game) and omg, it was fantastic!
All the shelves were nicely leveled, the dairy all restocked, no crowds, no slow-moving elderly people (I think it's great that they still shop for themselves, but sometimes it's difficult to maneuver your cart around 50 of them at a time - they come in on the home bus...) - I was in and out in less than an hour, and I did the shopping for about a month 
YAY for grocery stores being open until 12 or later

ITA agree. We go sometimes at night too and it is a godsend. We hate the people who crowd around the specials. It is really hard to get through.

DH was on a 7:30am-3:00pm shift for a while and I'd go Sunday mornings when he left for work. It was SOOOOO nice!!

This is what I miss most about working nights. I always went grocery shopping at 2 or 3 in the morning because it was like 2 or 3 in the afternoon my time. There is never a crowd, and the shelves are always stocked. I LOVE early morning shopping!

We agree. That's why DH does the shopping at 7 am on Sunday. It takes 1/3 of the time.

It's the only way I can get it done now, especially when I don't want two kids with me...
I've done 10 p.m. before, it was great! The only downside was that there was only 1 checkout lane open and everyone in there had big orders, so I had a long line to wait on!

Even better...Peapod.  But yes, that is the best time to go. For us, however, we'd lose our awesome parking spots.

We have started going around 10am on sunday mornings, its not too crowded and its been alot easier
