If you are really concerned you could call your OB and ask for some blood work. I think based on what you are describing that the most likely answer was that the test was defective.

The color/darkness of the line doesn't matter. As long as you have a line you're pregnant. I took a gazillion tests when I was pregnant and there were days my + line was thinner, thicker, darker, or lighter than the reference line. I'm sure everything is fine. Chat Icon

Logically I KNOW you are both right..

But I guess because it isnt written (left=test. right= ref) like the opks (where the tell you specifically what is what)Part of me has doubt.

Like I said before... had I not already rec'd a + at 9dpo, I wouldve taken my 1 line and thought it = not preggo. KWIm?

I hate to sound harsh, but you need to seriously chill.

The instructions do specify which is the test line and which is the control line. Read the full pamphlet of instructions again.

IF the control line did not come up after taking the test, the test is defective. It states this in the instructions as well.

Pregnancy tests are not always perfect. If you have taken several other tests, including ones that are the same brand-- and have gotten all BFPs, you are pregnant.

It would be more of an issue if you had gotten all BFNs, and received just one BFP or something. But, the test which you are questioning does not seem to be performing correctly.

Ive read that pamphlet again and again.

I see nothing of the sorts...

Im not sure why someone who is clearly upset and worried, would get such a nasty response.

Its good to see what I may have to look forward to on this board.

Very few people know that Im preg. so at this point I have NO ONE I can talk to/cry to about this.

So I came here...

I really appreciate those responses that were helpful and supportive!

Re: So I think I might be losing this pregnancy

This is exactly why I like the digital one.

It's easy. No guessing! It's either Pregnant or Not pregnant.

You took a digital and it says PG. Here is your answer.

You can go to your OB to confirm your pregnancy and check your numbers.

If the digital test says PG, then you are PG. Chat Icon

I don't get it either Chat Icon

Sorry you're worried, sorry you are scared Chat Icon Maybe a call to your OB will ease your mind and maybe they'll have you come in a little earlier than planned and can do the blood test to check your levels.

I didn't mean to be harsh-- but everyone is telling you that not to worry. I am sorry, I just wanted to stress that you should relax about this and not stress. From everything you posted-- you ARE pregnant.

If you are really concerned, definitely call your doctor.

I posted above, but will say it again. I just wanted to try to express that she should relax a little-- and everything she posted points to the fact that she is pregnant.

I started off the post with the wrong choice of words-- I am sorry for that. Chat Icon

Thank you so much!!!!

I thought about calling the Dr, but have a feeling if they call me in and do a sono (which I know they'll do) its still gonna be to early to see anything anyway...

Which in turn will prob add to my fears rather than cease them.

This is true too. And your right there. Take another test. Wont that ease your fears?

I think we are trying to show you how its unrealistic your fear so you dont worry Chat Icon

I would call them and tell them what happened with the tests, and they can perhaps ease your mind with the results you got.

They probably would not do a sono this early, but you can do some blood test monitoring to ensure that you hcg levels are rising.

I did take a digital... I shouldve bought another FRER though- so I could actually "see" the 2 lines- ya know.

Im not sure if anyone saw my post, but I had a family member immediately tell me that I was so early, and that 70% pregnancy "dissolve" themselvesChat Icon

So between that, no sympomts and all this drama- Im worried.

Im a worry wart, I know- It'll be so much easier once I get past 12 weeks, but until then Ill prob continue to drive myself insane...

Re: So I think I might be losing this pregnancy

everyone is so worried in the beginning of miscarriages ectopis etc, its normal. BUT, the stress i so not good for the little bean, so u need to calm yourself down and call dr. maybe he can do some BW. just relax........... u have so many girls trying to help u and u r not even listening. u should have already seen dr or at least called instead of wasting time w/ us if u r so worried. or, eve go to a med center or clinic to just get a preg test......
u'll be fine,,,, but u cannot stress like this until there is something validated,,,, even then things are out of your control. that is the 1 thing i learned in pregnancy, things are totally out of my control. (hard for a controlling person to face) GL!!!!!

The digital test that I took said pregnant and of course I had to disect the digital test. So, I took it apart and I saw 2 lines inside. I think I had the clear blue digital. So, if you all that you want to see is the 2 lines then try taking the digital apart after it says "PREGNANT" and you'll see 2 lines Chat Icon

I drove myself crazy too and said I can't wait until I'm 12weeks so I can stop worrying. Here I am 31wks2d and I still worry. Worrying is natural!!! Best of luck.
