Random question about bridal shower favors?
what was your favorite? Something edible? Something practical? Your opinions and ideas would be greatly appreciated

For my bridal shower, my mom had chocolates, mints and wine bottle stoppers as the favors.

Edible all the way. Every favor I've gotten that was supposed to be practical was never practical for me. But I always like to eat.

They were wooden spoons with a pink ribbon and a thank you tag attached. It had a catchy saying on it but I don't remember what it said.

Mine were heart-shaped cookie cutters with a recipe for sugar cookies and a cute saying, etc. A lot of guests made the cookies--and so did I last Christmas...yum! I'm not big on favors, but I thought those were alright.

My favorite was practical AND edible!
It was a little glass box with a lid. The bride's brother handpainted flowers on them & then filled them with Hershey's kisses.
I had to take the train home from New Haven & appreciated the snack! 
7 years later, I still use the box to keep matches in.

Mine was edible but I made scissor holders for my GF bridal shower
they were so easy and pretty inexpensive.
I made them out of pot holders.

Wine bottle stoppers - LOVE them. Can't have too many in my book.

Little picture frames that were kinda ugly (IMO)....but I guess it was the thought that counted.

At mine, they had a chocolate bar, a small yankee candle jar and a dishtowel for each guest. I loved the dishtowel idea, I always use it.

my favorite are:
coffee with a cute label about the bride
anything food related
My MIL did flower seeds (wild flowers I think) and a cute little shovel or rake with each and wrapped them in clear cellophane. she also had the M&M's made up with Heathers Bridal shower on them and filled these little tiny clay flower pots with them and rapped them with tulle.

the favor at my shower was small boxes of chocolate.
I think the best one i've seen was a jar of body butter in different scents. it was great! I actually saw small jars of hand lotion at Target last week in the dollar bins and thought that they would make a great shower gift.

Edible!!!! I always feel so guilty tossing everything else, but I do anyway.
I wanted to do cookies for my sister's shower, but I suck at baking and the ones I wanted to order were too pricey, especially since I wanted to do 2 or more. So, we gave away Laguiole Rosewood Captain's Corkscrews (b/c DH could get them rather cheap) and personalized M&Ms. Plus the corkscrews went with my sister's wedding favor/theme which was wine.
