We just came home with a little loaf!
I can bend at the waist, my ankles have bones again, I just fed my little one and then drank a sangria :-P..... AND we have the CUTEST little freshly baked good in the universe!
here's a picture of Little Loaf (promoted from his prior name 'Scone') in the nursery......

ok, here are the pictures... we're of course totally  he's such a cutie.
My labor was  though. I'll give the details later (once the sangria has worn off   ). Basically, remember how I was going to do my best to avoid an epi becuase it has a propensity to stall labor, especially if given below 5cm (requiring pictocin to jump start it again)? well, my NATURAL labor STALLED at 4 cm  . I was 4cm from 10:30am to 6:30PM... NO PROGRESS and TONS OF PAIN. In the end, I got the epi (becuase I REFUSE to experience pictocin w/o serious pain mediation ). After that, I dilated to 10cm by 12:30am, and then had to wait almost 2 hours for the epi to wear off enough to be able to push . but one hour of pushing later, a baked good came out of the oven
so yeah, 6 hours of pre-labor, and 26 hours of full-fledged labor (with 20 hours natural and the last 6 with an epi). That's what I called 'prolonged'.
it's soooo worth it though... I promise you!!!! I'd do it again in an instant!
