Moms that delivered at southside
Can you please tell me about your experience?
I had DS at good sam, and LOVED it. But im thinking of having my tubes tied so would have to go to southside to deliver. Any input would be helpful. I think im going to go on the tour also.

I LOVED LOVED LOVED southside. I am not kidding, right after delivering my son, I said, "I would do this again tomorrow" (and I practically am!!) But I was serious. Everything was fabulous. I can't recommend them enough. The L&D nurses are fantastic.
ETA: I had a private room as well, and really hope there is one available this time too.

I had a wonderful experience at Southside. It was almost like being in a hotel - but with the added benefit of narcotics being shot in my azz every 6 hours! I had a private room and I think that made a difference. I loved having my own bathroom and knowing that my baby was around my family and friends only - and not around a roommate's guests that I didn't know/trust. The nursing staff both was great pre partum AND post partum. Even the food was decent - I liked having my breakfast buffet options!

LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE Southside!! I delivered DS at Good Sam and DD at Southside. NO comparison!! Everything about my experience at Southside was BETTER!! The rooms are great and you can get a private one. The food is catered from an outside deli and for breakfasst/lunch they set it up like a buffet. Gourmet wraps/sandwiches, fruit, cakes, muffins, bagels..The nurses are phenominal and you can tell that they truly LOVE doing what they do. Everyone has a smile on and they are just the sweetest!

LOVED IT
L&D nurses were fantastic!
The had breakfast and lunch buffets that were great!
They were always there to help with concerens., breastfeeding, etc
I paid for a private room and it was great
I loved the experience I had there!!

I LOVED delivering at Southside...the staff was fantastic, they truly care about what they do. I felt truly at home & comfortable. Definitely go for a private room if you can.
I don't remember a buffet at all, but I do remember picking/choosing what I wanted off the menu...wish I had the buffet!
Great great experience though!

Like everyone else said, Southside is GREAT!
I gave birth there twice, and each time, I had a great experience. I would recommend them to anyone.

I didn't have the buffet when I was there with my son, but I am now extra excited about going there again!!!!

I loved Southside. They had the buffet for my daughter in 2005. In 2007 for my son, they no longer did the buffet. Not sure if they started again. The nurses were great. I had 2 great experiences there.

Right before I got pregnant with DD my OB stopped delivering at Southside. The nurses would never say why, but they kinda alluded to "quality" issues. Now I'm thinking there is more to the story - damn!
Sounds like everyone had a great experience (can't complain though, I had a great experience at Good Sam).

I just had DS 2 weeks ago at Southside. I went there because I got my tubes tied.
I looooooved it there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I cannot stop gushing about it to anyone who will listen.
I had a repeat c-section and was there for 4 nights. I got a private room, and paid $125 a night. It was worth every penny. Flat screen tv, cable, full private bathroom...... and best of all, no roomates!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I had DD at Good Sam 4 years ago, this was a million times better. Good LucK!!
ETA... There is a buffet for lunch and dinner. You order your dinner and they bring it to your room....wonderful!!

LOVED IT.....THe L&D nurses where the best!! It was like they knew us for 20 years. I had a private room and everything was just perfect!!
