if you are not finding out the sex...

What bedding and furniture etc did you pick out?

DH and I have agreed to wait until the birth to find out the sex and everyone else seems to be so ticked off by our choice- I'm shocked at the attitudes I'm getting.

I do want to have a nursery prepared but feel like most bedding lines are mainly for either boys or girls with very few neutrals.

Anyone else in the same boat as me?

The best neutral bedding I've seen is on Restoration Hardware Baby. The nursery is the one thing that's driving me crazy about not finding out...but I've got a long way to go.

I'm doing a moon and stars theme..one of the colors of the bedding I picked is very light blue..which is mostly used for boys I know but since it goes with the theme I think it goes with either gender (I am not finding out either).

We didn't know the gender beforehand and here's ours--we had 2 girls, but I probably would have picked it even had I known...

I've picked out the furniture but I won't be getting bedding till after the birth since I'm not really crazy about any of the gender neutral bedding.

We picked out the furniture and I'm in the process of deciding on bedding for each sex.

The baby is going in a co-sleeper so all furniture and bedding will be set up after he/she arrives

we found out the gender but wanted a gender neutral nursery anyway (we intend to hopefully have another child, and we're not keen on all boy or all girl themes... all that pink and blue is way too much for us)

How about a nice cream color...deep cream. I love the nursery in father of the bride 2...I think it's gender neutral but so classy and nice!

It's our 2nd child so we aren't concerned about the nursery being all set up. The baby will be in our room for at least 4 months since our bedroom is on the other side of our house from the other bedrooms. Plus our DD room still has the changing table and all that other stuff the baby will need. So I figure we will just wait and see. If its another girl they may just share since there is already a twin bed in DD room.

We're waiting till after the baby is born to purchase the bedding. We painted the nursery a light green and both beddings go nicely with it. My mother will pick up the bedding for us after I deliver.

We are sticking w the same furniture regarless of sex, i like the dark furniture.

As for bedding, i plan to either buy both sexes and return one, or choose my 2 faves and once baby is born, have DH or my sis or my parents pick up the one i need

we picked out furniture that would be good for either girl or boy. Its "mod" espresso wood/white combo. As for bedding, I haven't found any neutral bedding sets that go with what we want to do with the nursery (although Res. Hardware has very nice neutrals). I think were going to do white/chocolate brown bedding. Our walls will be beige/chocolate brown/tangerine orange.

the overly girly and boyish stuff is not our thing either.

Furniture-- well, we are just getting a crib and we will wait til we move in a year or so to do up a kids room. But, the furniture will be natural wood--the wall colors are a rich, deep yellow-- and we have hardwood floors, so we'll get a fun bright rug.

Bedding, I am getting this (in green) from PB... Then will add decor items to make it more boy or girl.

I have had very little luck in finding bedding that is gender neutral. As of now I'm registered for a bedding set at BBB. I think it is really cute, but more of a boy bedding. I would look to get something girlie, but of course I can't as of right now.
We are getting the same furniture and color for either a boy or girl. So that is not a big deal. My sister suggested to buy both a boy bedding and girl bedding close to my due date. Then just return which ever I don't use. I'm really considering it.

I have the same problem. I really didn't see any neutral bedding that I loved, but did see a girl one and a boy one, so I registered for both. Hehee...

I don't know whether anyone will get them because I know I wouldn't want to spend money on something that has a 50% chance of being returned...then again alot of people in my family think it's a girl, so they might take the chance.

We did not find out the sex of our first child and we painted his room green and bought neutral teddy bear bedding....I actually did also buy a very girlie one, kept it and then returned it when I had a boy and used the credits

With #2 we are not finding out either

People get SO annoyed--screw them. u only get surprised few times in your life

We are getting the furniture, and painting the room green. I will pick out the bedding for a boy and a girl, and buy it after the baby is born. If it is a girl, it will be pink and green and if it is a boy, it will be blue and green.

We didn't find out with DC #1 and won't find out this time either. For #1 we waited until DC was born and got gender specific bedding. DC was in our room for almost 4 months anyway. We bought a honey color wood furniture. I think this time we may buy gender neutral bedding, so the room is all ready. I plan on putting DC #2 in his/her own room much sooner this time and with DC #1 running around I doubt we'll have much time to set it up once we have 2 to take care of. I've seen a few gender neutral bedding sets I really like.
