Please help re: CD's - I am so confused (TMI inside - just be warned)
So last Wednesday, I had some light spotting in the morning. Nothing on the TP that whole day or the next day.
Friday morning, the spotting was heavier - enough for me to feel the need to use a tampon. Later on in the day, there wasn't much on it. 
Saturday - same thing, but a little more than Friday - a little more came each day, but not enough to where it looked like what AF should look like, but enough to make a little mess had I not worn anything. Keep this up until yesterday.
The flood gates opened up yesterday. Normally, I have a really heavy AF on the 3rd or 4th day. It was bad last night and this morning as well.
What would I count CD 1 as? Friday when it started coming, or yesterday when it REALLY came?
Friday would have been CD 27, which is about right - my cycles are usually 27-28 days....
Any insight?

that's VERY interesting....
The theory goes that the minute you have to put on a pad or put in a tampon - that is CD1 - but in your case...you could've gotten away without one until Tuesday...
I want to say YESTERDAY was CD1 - but i'm not positive...

I know - that's the quandry I'm in right now! Had I not worn a tampon, I don'think that there would have been anything there - maybe only when I wiped. There is no getting around the fact that it's here now and has been since yesterday. It's the differene of 4-5 days that would make a difference of when I'm O-ing, right?

yes - i think it would affect when you o'd..
are you on FF? I ask because if you put in 'spottingn' for the first few days - i wonder if that would make it CD1...
let me check my chart...

okay, no...it doesn't consider 'spotting' CD1. It doesn't change to CD1 until i entered "LIGHT" bleeding...
Do you feel that any of your days were 'light' or were they all JUST spotting?

It was definitely more than a spot, but not enough to be a consistent flow - whatever was on the tampon was brown The tampon was pretty much dry except for a little brown patch.
Can I still use FF even though I'm not temping or anything?

Yes, you can still use FF if you're not temping

You can get a 30 day trial - sure!!! It's great to track EVERYTHING - CM, BD, etc...
Brown blood/spotting is old blood from your last period... Based on that info, i'd say yesterday was CD1.
