At 5.5 weeks, there was no heartbeat. I had an ultrasound done because I had some bleeding. She informed us that the heart could start beating anyday.
At 8 weeks, we saw a heartbeat.
At 12.5 weeks, we also saw the heartbeat as well as a full baby!
I have yet to hear the heartbeat. The tech didn't use the doppler thing at 8 weeks. At the 12 week ultrascreen, she probably could have let me hear with a stethoscope but she didn't.

I saw it around 6 1/2 weeks and heard it around 10weeks but the NP said that she was surprised we could hear it that early.

Eight weeks is way too early to hear the heartbeat with a doppler. You should be able to hear it by 12 weeks.
Twelve weeks is also way too early to hear the heartbeat with a stethoscope. You might be able to hear the heartbeat with a stethoscope towards the end of the second trimester.

Heard the heartbeat at 10 weeks on the doppler & saw it at our first sono at 11 weeks.
