I wonder if people lurk on here...learn some stuff... ignore other stuff...and only post when they don't like something that is said?

Of course they do, or the threads wouldnt get 900 views and only 5 responses... Everyboard is lurker on some board or another probably. I lurk on Parenting, but I have no reason to post, but once in a blue moon I do if something intrigues me, annoys me etc....

I also lurk on the TTC board, and I am not longer on the TTC board. I read just about every post, and I have any experience with anyone issues I will tell them what I have been through, to see if it helps them in anyway.

And I gotta say that I find the topic of this post "interesting" (to say the least) in light of the other post on this board today.....
Kara - it seems you are impyling that those who mostly 'lurk' on this board are not entitled to express a negative opinion when something troubles them? Correct me if I'm wrong if I'm misinterpreting what you are getting at
I WAS a very active poster on these boards as you all know. I had a M/C and then decided to no longer post publically about my TTC issues anymore. THIS is a PERSONAL decision, and I do not feel the need to explain why I chose this.
But yes, I do lurk and gather information as I see fit. Does that mean I should not be allowed to post at all?? Even if an opinion of a VERY REGULAR poster bothers me??

I hate the term bashing, I really do.
BUT if your upset over someones posting in this fashion, in turn you post this?

Flee you and me are alot alike, I too used to post on this board and the one time I actually had GOOD news to finally post it turned into a very negative thread. That is why I choose not to post here and it is because of the negativity of one particular poster.

No Felicia that isn't what I mean at all. I think it is great that people post opinions and ideas and there is discussion. It brings a lot of information to light. We all have different viewpoints which is what makes this board so good for getting opinions and advice and information. I am referring only to the idea that lurking is fine but to post ONLY and EXCLUSIVELY when you disagree with something, well it gets feathers ruffled as you can see.
As has been discussed on here before, what anyone wants to reveal about their own TTC is up to them, and of course no one is obligated to share anything. I have gotten FMs from people who only lurk and that is great. But to post only negatively doesn't help matters, IMO.
Take into consideration the IMO.

ok i am a lurker the reason why i am lurking is because i am getting ideas from you all i will be TCC in july/august and i dont think right now is the right time to post on here. but I have to say you are all helping me out a great deal and I am learning alot for when that time comes. and I want to thank you all! Now i have a ? when do i sign up for TTC do i do it when i get closer like in june should i add my name to the list?i know silly question but just wondering thanks!but if i find it interesting i do post on here!

I do the same. I kind of only keep to to TTC, pregnancy and parenting boards though.

I'm sure some people do.
I read a lot of posts but dont always reply because I dont have anything to say or because its a question Ive answered many times and dont feel like typing the whole thing out again.
Clearly some people reply to threads just to be antagonistic.

I do lurk here and on the Infertility board. I feel like sometimes a lot of information is shared and I can learn a tremendous amount from all of your experiences. I am a little less open about my infertility issues but do post responses if I know something as well.
