Weaning- How long did it take til your milk dried up?
I stopped BF 2 weeks ago. By that time I was only feeding twice per day. I pumped 2 days later very briefly. Then I pumped a small amount 5 days after that. It's now been a week since my last pumping. When can I stop worrying whether I will leak or not? TIA!

I had to stop BF DS on 8/15 because of emergency surgery. I too pumped about 2 days later. I have not pumped since. I have manually expressed some milk but it is still here. Prior to 8/15 DS was nursing about 2x a day also. I have heard that milk can still be expressed for a couple of months after you stop nursing. Have you tried cabbage leaves? I can tell that my milk is slowly going away, but yeah it is still here.

It took me about 1 month to dry up. I was only BFing for a few minutes twice a day at the end.

I exclusively pumped, but it took 3 days for my milk to dry up completely.
ETA: Day 2 was the worst. My boobs were so hard, but I woke up the next day and the lumpiness was gone, so I figured that was the end.

Even with my short lived efforts at BFing, it took at least a month. Sometimes I think that was because of how much I wanted to BF even after I was told not to. Sometimes, there is such a mind body connection when it comes to BFing. For a while it was such slight leaking, though.

I leaked a little bit about two weeks after I completely stopped nursing and pumping. nothing that anyone would have even noticed if i had been out of the house though.

I bf'd for 11 mos. it took 4-5 weeks for it to dry up, with week 2-3 being horrible

Took about a week. Then I leaked slightly for 2 more weeks. Stopped when DS was about 8 weeks.
