Multi Vitamins and Folic acid Q
hi,
We just started actively TTC this month and for about 6mths I have been taking a prenatal multivitamin and folic acid. My multi vitamin ran out about 2 weeks ago and I havent picked up a new box yet - I am still taking the folic acid.
My question is should I wait to see if I am lucky enough to get pregnant this month and then get some prescribed prenatals OR if I should just go and buy a box now.

We just bought prenatals from target. The target brand were like 6.99 for 200 vitamins. Some of the ladies on here highly recommended them. It has 800mcg folic acid.

I use Target as well- my doc told me that was fine.

Target brand is great- very easy to swallow (not a horse pill-lol) and not smelly either

Target user here too. i have a VERY sensitive stomach and they don't bother me at all!
ETA: i don't think you need prescribed pre-natals once you become pregnant....but i could be wrong.

Not all doctors give prescription prenatals. My doctor said I could take any OTC prenatal. I'd just buy an OTC one and continue using that.

Thanks everyone I just went out and bought a box of multi vitamins - they didnt have prenatals so thought it was better than nothing.
