I originally started with Born free - made a mess - just gave my DS the gerber ones a few days ago - no mess and he uses it like a pro already!

DS has Gerber and Advent with handles. He likes both, but he is a pretty easy going kid.
In the beginning I had to take out the no spill valve so he understood that there was something good in there... (this obviously made a mess but it was only water!)

we got the nubys too but honestly, i really didnt like them.
DS has to bite down and suck at the same time to get any water out...he was never able to drink any water - he couldnt figure them out! we switched to the avent ones and now he is using a sippy cup with a straw.
