That is horrible...Whenever I get out to pump, I make sure I take the keys & that my bag is in the backseat (so know one can see it)

my DH calls me paranoid because i always lock everything (car, house) no matter where we are... especially if i am alone! you never know, so why take risks?
he likes to tell me that we don't live in the ghetto  but i wouldn't call patchogue the ghetto, so that just proves my point!!

I'm sorry that happened to your friend...what a horrible feeling. I always lock the door and take the keys with me when I pump gas because I'm paranoid.

thanks for posting. I always leave my bag on the passenger seat, keys in the ignition ( i leave the radio on) and my doors open  not anymore!

My car is always locked...more so, I enable to alarm too.
I would never leave my car unlocked w/ my purse inside.

wow....sorry about your friend.
i'm too paranoid about that. i NEVER leave my keys in the car---i take them with me, leave my purse maybe--but i lock the doors as i'm pumping gas.
same here
I am more worried about someone else getting into the car to attack me
people were doing that a few years back
I always lock the doors!
