the one on the bowery is equally as good. and they have a downstairs lounge.
just know, that is you go with a few wild and crazy chicks, you WILL be SHUSHED by the manager if you are in the sit-down dinner section

Mario Batali's Casa Mono!!!!!
It was absolutely unreal---the food was AMAZING! It was a bit on the pricey side, but worth it. DH and I went for our first anniversary.

WOW..that place looks so good! The menu made my mouth water. I've been dying to go to a really authentic tapas bar ever since I lived in Spain 8 years ago!!! Necesito sangria y tortilla espanola!!

I love the one downtown! And if you order before 7pm in the downstairs lounge, all tapas are half price.

We love el charro, it's at 4 charles st. in the village. They used to have a website but I don't see it anymore, it's been in that village location since the 1920's so when you walk in, it doesn't look very impressive but the food is amazing and we always get a pitcher of the sangria!
