How often do you leave groceries at the store?

I did this twice this week, once at Target, and once at Waldbaums. DH was so pizzed he asked the customer service woman how often it happens and she just pointed to an area full of grocery bags from just today

I did it for the first time yesterday, actually. At Target. I called and luckily someone turned them in.

I used to do it ALL the time (like whenever I went to the grocery story)- but I haven't done it in a long time.

I did it at Target last Saturday, luckily it was just a little bag.

I've done it a few times. I notice it only when I go to get something I bought and it's no where to be found. I hardly ever go back to get it

Frequently ... because the kids distract me. I left my chopmeat at KK in Bayport last week.

Once, I actually had someone take some of my groceries! She was bagging hers and then mine went down the belt. After I paid I noticed missing items. I had to go back down the aisles and get them!.

i think maybe once or twice---where i left a bag after doing a big shopping trip. but i'm always paranoid about leaving something behind and forgetting that i always double check

I work at a supermarket and it happens to me once or twice a shift. 95% of the time it's the customer's fault (they forget a bag in the holder that I can't see, or they run off and disappear before they take all the bags off the register)

I have Left some stuff at the store. and I have also come home with stuff that I didn't purchase.
The Cashier didn't give the bag to the customer before me.

Never - but I do this constantly do this at the dry cleaners and then come running out after me with my clothes!

DH just did this the other day he left a package of chicken thighs at the checkout (we did the self checkout)

i went back the next day, and found out that they keep a log of things that are left at checkout - so i was able to get a refund! gotta love stop and shop.

I did it one time at Walmart. They had this bag thing that turned and I guess I didn't turn it all the way. After that, I started double checking no matter what.

very rarely, if ever. I don't do big shopping trips, just enough for 2-3 days at a time, so I only have 1-2 green bags to take home.

I've never done this, however i've found other people's groceries in my bag when I got home. I came home once to find boboli pizza, thousand island dressing and a canned good in my bag.

There was a bagger that day who must have not cleared the end of the register before bagging my items.

I honestly can't remember a time that I have, but the one and only time I had my groceries delivered (I had shoulder surgery and couldn't carry them!), I was missing one item when I got all the bags. Kinda annoying cuz I had to go back to the grocery store to let the manager know, but he was very nice and said to just go pick out the item again.

A few times I have left a bag behind. It almost always is the milk lol.

Not more than a handful of times, but it happened at target a few months ago. I was mad, b/c the cashier was ringing the next person up before I was finished putting the bags in my cart and getting myself in order. I am sure this is the reason that I was rushing and didn't notice it and this is one of my big pet peeves. I never went back to get it (it was $10), since gas would have eaten up a big chunk.
