It depends on what it is.

I don't golf, but if I did I probably would pay full price for a display model of golf clubs.

They are only golf clubs. It's not like they have been previously hitting balls with that set. Plus it's not like the clubs are losing their value sitting there.

Is this any different than buying the last pair of sneakers at foot locker? You know when they have to find the matching sneaker for the one that's already on display because there aren't any left. I don't ask for a discount there either.

If it was something with a shelf life, like a TV, then I would definitely only buy with a discount.

It seems different to me...the difference in price of a pair of sneaker vs a set of new golf clubs is huge Chat Icon

It just didn't seem right to me Chat Icon

Definitely a discount for a floor model for me, too.

On a related note, I went to the Golfsmith in Lake Grove the other day and almost fell over at the prices. I never realized how pricey some of this stuff can be.

My father, who has been golfing for 20 years, told my husband to go to Dicks Sporting Goods instead for beginner stuff. That we would probably find a better deal there.

I hope the set is great for you! Chat Icon
