tell me how to bring on labor please!!!!
DS just does not want to come out. i have apparently made too nice of a home for him and he is taking advantage of me. no dilation or anything yet! if he had it his way, he'd be 18 and still living in my womb  i would probably be bedridden from the extra 150 pounds of grown man though 
my due date is tuesday and i'd like to not be induced if i don't have to be (long story...but i have previous medical issues where they don't want him to get too big. so if i don't go into labor on my own by tuesday, i'm looking at a c-section or induction--which aren't the end of the world, but i want my body to try on its own first!)
so tell me all the old wives tales. i don't care how crazy it may be! how can i bring this baby into the world???

Stimulate your nipples ( I know sounds odd) it worked for me, made me have lil contractions and my water broke...
I aslo did this at night, thats when most woman go into labor.

PS: Had a back massage and had kick *** contractions for 45 mins!! I had to stop..

Here's a few that i've heard...
1- sex
2- walking
3- foot massage... there is supposedly a pressure point near the back of the ankle that helps bring on contractions which is why they tell you not to get pedicures late in pregnancy
4-certain aromas.. midwives use aromatherpy when trying to induce labor naturally.. you would have to google which ones, but I think lavender is one.

i heard putting evening primerose oil on his little friend and having sex, the combination of the oil and his "love juice" stiumlate a hormone or something like that. i also heard just taking the capsuls orally work but when i went to buy them today and read the bottle it said that if u are pregnant to ask a dr so i decided against that. good luck, im in the same boat as u and it sucks!

Definitely sex but I believe he has to *ahem*. Supposedly there is a hormone in the semen that softens the cervix. It worked for me!

ngredients
# 3 medium sized eggplants
# 1 cup flour
# 6 eggs, beaten
# 4 cups fine Italian bread crumbs, seasoned
# Olive oil for sauteing
# 8 cups of marinara sauce (recipe below)
# 1/2 cup grated Romano cheese
# 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
# 1 1/2 pounds of mozzarella cheese, shredded
# 2 cups of ricotta cheese
Directions
1. After you wash the eggplant, slice them into 1/4-inch thick slices. You may choose to peel the eggplant before you slice it. However, you may want to leave the skin on since it contains a lot of vitamins.
2. Place the eggplant slices on a layer of paper towels and sprinkle with a little salt, then cover with another layer of paper towels and hold it down with something heavy to drain the excess moisture. Let them sit for about an hour.
3. Working with one slice of eggplant at a time, dust with flour, dip in beaten eggs, then coat well with breadcrumbs.
4. Saute in preheated olive oil on both sides until golden brown.
5. In baking dish, alternate layers of marinara sauce, eggplant slices, ricotta, parmesan and Romano cheeses, until you fill the baking dish, about 1/8 inch from the top. Cover with shredded mozzarella cheese, and bake for 25 minutes in a 375 degree oven. Let sit for 10 minutes before serving.
Scalini's Marinara Sauce
Ingredients
# 2 Tablespoons of chopped garlic
# 3 Tablespoons of olive oil
# 8 cups chopped tomatoes (fresh or canned)
# 1 cup onions, chopped
# 1/2 cup of fresh chopped parsley
# 1 teaspoon oregano
# 1 teaspoon of crushed red pepper
# 1/8 cup of fresh chopped sweet basil
# Pinch of thyme
# Pinch of rosemary
# One teaspoon salt
# One teaspoon black pepper
Directions
1. Lightly saute the onions in olive oil in large pot for a few minutes.
2. Add garlic and saute another minute.
3. Add tomatoes and bring sauce to a boil, then turn heat low.
4. Add remaining ingredients, stir, cover and let simmer for one hour, stirring occasionally.

OK HERE IT GOES:
Have sex while stimulating your nipples while eating some good old hot sauce and drinking castor oil at the same time.
If that doesn't work, I'm sorry....I can't help you out!
Seriously though.....sex won't work if you're not dilated. Even then its a chance, but hey...try it out!
They say walking can really help bring the baby down....I walked and walked till I couldln't walk any longer. He really did drop more during those walks actually....
I hear the nipple thing can be bad b/c it can make you contract but not start labor but maybe it is ok now that you are this far along??
I'm ready to run over there with my surgical kit and get him out for you!!
Oh wait..I don't have a surgical kit... Hmmmmmm, lol! COME OUT BABY BOY!!!!!!

There were these kind of milk shakes at Friendlys called Fribbles (I don't know if they still have them) that is supposed to bring on labor. This is what my Lamaze class instructor told me. It actually worked but only after a few times, so I don't know if it was actually the drink that did it.

MY OB actually reiterated this to me at my 37 weeks appointment yesterday. My BP keeps having small peaks here an there and she wants me to try the above to see if we can speed up labor.

Sorry I cant help, DS had to be evicted (by c-section on his due date) because nothing was working
I tried - eggplant, mexican, walking, walking up and down stairs and others...Nothing, not even a fingertip of dilation or a false contraction!
DS was stubborn!
