Re: moms of 6,7,8, week olds
I have a 7 week old.
He usually starts the day between 5-7 am and eats every 3-4 hours throughout the day. I usually give the last feeding between 10-11 pm. He eats anywhere between 4-6 oz per feeding.
Lately he has been sleeping from about midnite until 5-7am. It seems to be getting longer each day ! He goes back down after his first bottle and usually sleeps another 3 hours. During the day he sleeps 1-2 hours at a time between feedings depending on what I am doing. I also have a 4 year old DD - so unfortunately DS has to deal w/ constant noise and a busy schedule which I am sure interrupts his.
I have no complaints and I think he is doing really well.

This was the same for me. I never had a schedule especially with baby being EBF. It is only now at 6 months we are getting on a schedule.

Re: moms of 6,7,8, week olds
When my DS was this age he had no schedule with regard to napping. He would nap when he wanted to and if I tried to put him on a schedule he would fuss. He ate every 3 hours (start to start) with the exception of over night where at his age he slept about 6 hrs straight.
He i snow 4 months old and he is on a much better napping schedule.

Re: moms of 6,7,8, week olds
DS will be 8 weeks on Monday. His schedule keeps changing...but now he feeds every 3-4 hours and takes in about 4.5 to 5 oz of breast milk per feed. At night he takes in at least one long stretch of 4-5 hours.
Last night we had a breakthrough though- he went to sleep at 9 pm and woke up at 5:15 am!!! He cried in his sleep every once in a while, but he would stop after a few seconds and continue sleeping. I doubt he'll repeat that tonight, but DH and I are hoping
