has anyone used carpet tiles?
I am wondering how they are in terms of cost/ ease of installation.
TIA!

Re: has anyone used carpet tiles?
we had them for an area rug - it was actually cheaper than a lot of area rugs out there
easy to stick down and did not damage the floor when we pulled it up

Can you tell me what kind of floor you had them on & if they are padded? I was thinking of getting some but someone told me they damage wood floors.
Thanks!

I used Flor tiles in my LR as an area rug. LOVE them! The tiles stick to eachother, not your floor. The best part is I can switch up the pattern when I get bored...and if one gets dirty, just remove it and either clean it or replace it! So easy.

I love the Flor catalog and will probably use these when we do over the basement.

i used Flor tiles over a wood flor - they came up very easy when we moved - we had them stuck down for over a year - there was no damage to the floor

I love the Flor catalog and will probably use these when we do over the basement. I wanted to use them for our basement as well but since we're carpeting the stairs leading down, we decided to just go with a berber. The catalog is great - lots of design ideas.

Re: has anyone used carpet tiles?
I'm looking into using either Flor, or one of the other similar brands for the playroom that we are setting up. I figure there will be paint and stuff in there, and if anything gets spilled, we can either take the tile up to clean it really good, move it to a corner spot so you can't see it, or replace it entirely.

Re: has anyone used carpet tiles?
We created area rugs out of Flor tiles in our living room and foyer which turned out to be much more cost effective than an area rug of the same size. They stick to each other, not the floor, so there is no damage. They also have rubber bottoms so that they do not slip. I would suggest getting the samples in the larger sizes and walking on them, since the cheaper tiles feel like they would be better suited for a garage or patio. We used "Sprout" and love them!

Re: has anyone used carpet tiles?
This just gave me a GREAT idea since I've been having the hardest time trying to find an area rug....they either don't have the right colors, are too busy for my taste or are too expensive or
