Does anyone know if this pic is from a movie?
It looks JUST LIKE the corner of where I worked...on 34th and Broadway - right near Macys Herald Square, facing east....anyone know?

This is a photograph by Robert Doisneau called "The Bunch of Daffodils". He is a famous french photographer. My guess is that the pic is from Paris or somewhere like that.

If you look on the bottom right of the picture, there are people going down into a staircase which if I am thinking of the park you are thinking of in Herald Sq facing the now Victoria Secret building... I don't think there is a subway station there... Correct me if I am wrong...
It def does look like it though!

yes exactly...facing the VS store....i did notice the subway but i thought maybe over the years the changed the entrance to the subway bc the B, D & F do run there....I'm so curious!

The pics don't exactly match..the one posted by OP looks like a recreation of his original work..so it could be in manhattan

I've taken the subway from Herald Square everyday for 4 years and I don't think the picture is taken there.

Well it was 1950....
(I took a course a couple of semesters ago and the professor was very big on Robert Doisneau..BUT...he could very well have been wrong..he was a bit of a pompous arse

That doesn't look like Macys to me. I recently took this picture of the original main entrance to Macys and it does not resmeble this building.

It looks like the same exact scenery but with a different couple. You can see the differences in the womans clothes and jacket blowing in the wind the best. Probably just a recreation worth not as much as the original.

Most buildings in Paris are well over 60 years old.
It could be a local city hall. There are 20 of them, then there is the main one. It's huge and not a corner building.
