Before AF
Hope this is not a dumb question, but I'm so new to all this. Can you get pregnant right before AF?

Def not a stupid question - I was wondering the same thing myself a week or two ago 
From what I've been reading, I believe that you can only get pregnant around the time you ovulate as the egg "breaks down" within 24 hours of being released...
ETA: I also read somewhere that sperm can live for approx. 5 days, so if you BD sometime in the 4 or 5 days prior to ovulating you may still get pregnant, although I think that you just increase your chances if you do it either on the day before or day of ovulating. If you BD right before AF I don't believe that there's any chance that you'll get pregnant...

Right from the time you O until AF is considered your luetal phase which is the time when the egg would be fertilized and implant - this typically requires at least 10 days.
