One way to tell, I believe, is to place the CM/Sperm in a cup of water, if it floats its sperm and if it balls up and falls to the bottom its EWCM.

I heard (on here) that the boys are swimming as soon as they are released from the gate. Even though you may be leaking or have some leftover, chances are, they've made it to their destination before the act is even over.
Someone once posted how to tell the difference, but I forgot.

I think the actual sperm separates from the semen, so I think whatever is leaking out is just semen.

TCOYF says it's really difficult to tell, but it's easier if you try to expel whatever's left by doing kegels after sex. She says make sure you wait 30 minutes or so to make sure that all of the little guys have gotten far enough up there!

Its a book, Taking Charge of your Fertility by Toni Weschler.
It is a good read and had great info about TTC.

Ok this is gross- but if you rub whatever it is between your fingers- the sperm dries up and the CM stays pretty moist....
