Provera Quest
I was just put on Provera this week, so hopefully in two weeks I will finally have AF! Who would have thought I want her to come for a visit?? Anyway, a few questions, since I have no clue what Provera does... Should I continue to do my BBT and chart like I normally do? And will I notice a rise in my temp like after I ovulate? Random ?'s, but I'm just not sure what goes on with it... If I only had AF once in a year, what do you and your doctors usually do after you take provera? Thanks, I'm just so confused!

I'm not sure about the charting--mostly because I don't.  But it sounds like you're just like me--I don't get AF on my own. Have they found out WHY you're not getting AF?
I'm finishing Provera myself this week. If you're TTC and being monitored for O, they may ask you to come in for CD3 bloodwork. I'm under the care of an RE, so I do that every month.
I don't know if this helped you or not, but that's been my experience.

We haven't figured out why I haven't been getting it, possibly thyroid lrelated, so we're trying to find out. Thanks for your help!

I don't chart, but you will probably notice a rise in temp because provera is synthetic progesterone, and progesterone is what makes your temp rise after you ovulate.
Are you getting CD3 testing after AF comes? This is what happens for me after I take provera. Are you seeing an RE?

I'm not sure what I am doing after AF comes.. We haven't gotten that far, but I just had blood drawn, so I'm sure when that comes back, my dr. will tell me. I'm not seeing a RE, just a regular ob/gyn, but the blood results will tell if I'll be going to a RE, so I guess we'll see!
