Outside of pregnancy, does anyone take something stronger than aspirin? I know if I have this (I am being tested because it runs in my family) I will most likely be on Lovenox when PG, but how about when you are not PG?

I believe that it depends on whether you have an actual history of having clots. I can recommend a good hematologist if you need one.

A recommendation would be great. I live in eatern suffolk though.

Nothing has been confirmed w/ me yet. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I don't have any strands of any factor, but w/ my family history it's unlikely.

Did you get the results yet?

I wouldn't worry about it until then. If you want to see the doc out at Mt. Sinai hospital in NYC I'll get you his info - he's an anticoagulation specialist. It's tough to get info on here b/c everyone's situation is different and so are doctor's opinions. Even my Hemotologist may be able to give you some info. I know it's a drive for you - but it would be one appointment unless you suddenly start throwing clots. For a consultation I'd really suggest seeing the docs I've seen since they are aware of your family history. If you need on-going treatments then you can ask her for a referral.

Wait and see just how many strands you have or don't have of any of the factors.
