For those that recently redid a bathroom-where did you get your VANITY?

We are in the process of redoing one of our bathrooms, I have been searching for a single-sink vanity for over 6 months now....i have looked everywhere, it just seems like every store has the same design, nothing that i 'love"...
Fortunoff's, Peter Andrews, all the bathroom/kitchen stores, online,I ve searched everywhere!
any suggestions?

I found one at Peter Andrews. I also had a hard time finding something and tried Lowes, Home Depot, Overstock, Home Decorators, etc.

What exactly are you looking for?

Special ordered from HD Expo. I too like you, looked everywhere but I wanted something with legs, more furniture looking.

The company I chose to special order from was Strasser woodenworks.

We redid our 3/4 bath and we bought a vanity from home depot right off the shelf. We are in the process of buying all the supplies for our master bath and just purchased our vanity & linen tower from home depot but the company masterbath which has a few different varieties and colors. Also Home depot expo has 2 other companies that you can custom order from. It is a little mroe money but if you want something specific it might be the way to go.

I got my vanity from Home Depot...it was very reasonably priced...I also got the granite countertop from them as well - it was a great deal - a 24" countertop - the "Pegasus" collection - there are 7 different granites to choose from $200 for the counter top, back and side splash, and that included the undermounted sink.

My mom got hers at Consumers. She also looked at Costco, but the style didn't go.

thank you for all the responses...its for a bathroom on the main floor that wont be used a lot-more like a "formal bathroom" if that makes any sense...i will def check out the suggestions above, thank you all again!

What kind of vanity are you looking for? One that resembles a chest/piece of furniture? One that looks like a built-in?

Have you tried some of the small furniture stores on Rt 110? Brandon's in Westbury had chest style vanities. Corinthian Antiques in Westbury (near Brandon's) may carry them as well.

Definately something that looks like a chest/piece of furniture-something original, and not "modern" looking.....
the problem is, after looking all around it seems that every place carries pretty much the same thing, and its nothing that I "love". Also I need something around 48-53" and most are double sinks, I need a single.
I went to Brandons a while back, I will have to try them again....and go along 110. Thanks again!

ETS-i saw a vanity and some gorgeous pieces at Peter Andrews- handpainted/distressed wood from an artist in S america-but they were about $4-5000 but omg they were to die for!!

We got ours from South bay Kitchens in Bay Shore It was a custom order and the pricing was very reasonable.

trying to think where else...

We just redid our bathroom and got everything from Consumers Kitchens and Baths. The delivery was a total nightmare, and as much as I love my bathroom, I would NEVER order from them again.
