Boobs a little sore already
Ok, so I think a O'd about 2-3 days ago but not really sure. My boobies are already a teeny tiny bit sore. Does this mean no chance? I mean, for those of you that got sore boobies normally after oing, did you not have them when you were preggo (this soon)??
This is prob a post for the preg board, but I know some recent BFP's still go on this one! Thanks

Re: Boobs a little sore already
Well, my nips starting getting a bit sensitive and itchy [bizarre, I know] around 7DPO. I have never had sore boobs around OV. It may be an early symptom but more likely from OV. HTH!

Re: Boobs a little sore already
hey ladies! i had the same thing happen several times after O and i wasn't PG - it's too soon to have PG symptoms.
after you O, your progesterone increases, and that can make either your boobs or nips feel tender and/or sore (doesn't always happen but it can). if you aren't PG your progesterone levels will drop and you will get AF - and if you are PG, your progesterone levels will increase and your boobs will get even more sore than usual.
"There are 2 main causes of sore nipples/breasts before menopause:
* Post-ovulation - During your menstrual cycle the 2 main hormones at work are: o estrogen before ovulation and o progesterone which starts to act around the time of ovulation
Progesterone causes water to be retained in the body. The main reason for this is to prepare the uterus for a possible pregnancy by making the uterus rich in water and food for the anticipated pregnancy. Unfortunately, this same effect is felt throughout the body. Storing of water in the breast tissue causes it to become stretched leading to painful breasts and sore nipples. It is much worse for some women than others. If you’ve had any trouble getting into your skinny jeans in the second half of your cycle, that’s what we’re talking about. If a pregnancy does not occur, progesterone levels start to fall about a week before your next period. Gradually, you pee out the water that your body has accummulated. * Pregnancy - If the egg that is released from the ovary during ovulation is fertilized and starts to grow in the womb, then progesterone and estrogen levels will continue to increase to sustain the pregnancy. Of course this means that the breast tenderness will get worse. "

Check out this site to help track your cycle. Look to the left of the page to find the "ovulation calculator".

Re: Boobs a little sore already
THanks for the info! I thought that since they were sore already, that would mean I was def. NOT preg. But I guess I still could be!
