I would probably dump the chocolates in a corner somehwre and when she comes back say "I left them over there for you, bye!"
Or if you really want to ge her, put them in the refrigerator". Tell ehr you wanted to keep them fresh for her (in reality this ruins chocolate)

Maybe I'm just too assertive, but the woman never would have gotten past my office door. I'd have told her to get out of my office, I had to leave for something important. If she kept at it, it would have been "you can leave now, or I can call security. Your choice, but I suggest you leave NOW" -- as I pick up the phone receiver.
That's insane. That would have me fuming.

Someone did that to me once when I worked in the city and was running to the train, had my coat on and all..was actually at the door to exit to the street...an employee came up to me to ask a (non-urgent) benefits question...I politely told her I had to run but I would catch up w/ her in the AM....

Ooooooooh - I would have flat out responsed "That's not necessary, I don't want to buy anything" - If someone has the nerve to be THAT pushy and rude to me, I have NO problem giving them an abrupt, honest response.

Or take them and say someone must have taken them, since you left them on my desk overnight.
