What kind of spoons and forks??

Ok...going to babies r us today.

The spoons and forks that I have for Megan arent cutting it. She cant get the food to stay on them. Can anyone recommend what spoons and forks you use/d when they started feeding themselves?

I use the small metal ones for kids but usually, I just give dd the dessert forks and spoons to feed herself.

Don't get plastic! Anything with metal tines on the forks.

I agree with the metal forks. And believe it or not, the ones with the rounded edges are not the best ones for them. I think they need the sharper tip to be able to spear things otherwise they get frustrated and go back to the fingers. Obviously not super pointy but they have some that have very rounded tips on the tines. As for spoons, we have some with a circular handle that makes it easy for him to hold. The handle is a complete circle. I forget what brand they are. Sassy has some spoons that have holes in them that actually holds the food on better. They worked great too.

Definitely metal ones.

I just picked some up at Target for a $1.00.
