OMG...my husband car got washed away in a river...updated in first post
Dur. He has been in the hospital all day long and I am waiting for him to come home...
He is okay, just a sprained ankle, but he is pretty shaken up. He says the river he was parked near during some work just swelled up and covered the car in only 2 hours. How scary!!!
I like that car too...
Thanks for the good wishes ladies! Turns out he was parked on a tidal road and the tide came in. Bad judgement call, but the road wasn't correctly marked (most tidal roads have signs about what time the tides come in during which seasons) So he was basically in the car and the tide came in, he got out and the car was submerged over the roof. He was terrified, he thought he was going to die basically. But in the end he wound up with a sprained ankle. I seriously thank whatever person drove by and called the police. He has a badly sprained ankle and I think his ego is sprained even worse! He is also po'ed about the car, we really loved that car.
And what I love about him, is that althoug he is upset, we can have a little giggle about it! Thats my boy!

Where are you in England? I know that a few years ago a similar thing happened to my Auntie when the river swelled by her (she is in Wickhamford near Evesham...not too far from Stratford-upon-Avon).
Glad he is ok...sorry about the car

Wickhamford is slightly elevated compared to Evesham, but the whole area is hill-and-valley.
Wow you are about 2 1/2 hours north then of Wickhamford.... I always thought Auntie was so far north.
