don't be embarassed for feeling that way! no one gives guys a hard time for admitting they want a boy Chat Icon

and the truth is, while i too just want a healthy baby, it's hard not to think that it would be so nice to have a little girl b/c the clothes are just sooo much cuter! Chat Icon

you will have a beautiful perfect healthy baby no matter what you *wish* for! Chat Icon

I wanted a girl sooooo bad. My family needed it...last 6 kids born have been boys...lol. When I found out I was having a boy I forgot I wanted a girl first. For me just knowing the sex Made me thrilled to have a boy. Maybe you'll feel the same.

Noooo. hehe You want what you want, but I promise you won't be disappointed either way. Actually, this post is a few days old so you must know the results by now! I kind of felt like I wanted a Chat Icon at first, but then I found out we are having a Chat Icon and I could not be happier. You will feel the same no matter what. Chat Icon

Re: This is probably ridiculous -

you are not a bad mother at all....when i was pregnant with my son, i wanted a girl so bad...and when they told us at my level 2 that it was a boy, i was shocked. well, i have to tell you, he is mommys little boy...and i hope for every mom to experience having a boy someday. the bond is sooo incredible! when everyone else ended up having a girl, and i had my boy i realized i wouldn't trade my little man for ANYTHING! either way you will be happy....trust me! and theres always round 2.....we're having our girl now and i actually am more excited for my husband to have the daddys little girl experience!

Re: This is probably ridiculous -

I am right there with you. I wanted a girl SOOOO badly, and so did DH. I even bought a few girl outfits. When i went for my level 2, we found out we were having a boy. I won't lie, i was a little sad at first, but now i'm getting into BOY MODE, and i'm excited about it, and its so true when they say the most important thing is to have a healthy baby.
I've also got one more chance at a girl, since we want two kids. I'll keep my fingers crossed for the next one. Plus, i'd like it if my little girl had an older brother, so i still have a shot at that. If not, it will be my and my BOYS.

Good luck!

I'm with you. I want a son - it's all I can think about when thinking about my Charlie-bean. I feel like I will be disappointed if I'm carrying a girl...but I'm sure I'll get over it. Honestly, the health and well-being of this bean is the most important to me...but there's still that twinge of guilt over feeling disappointment if he's a she. Chat Icon

Don't worry, you won't be. I secretly want a baby Chat Icon too but either way I'll be happy. My SIL desperately wanted another boy and found it is was a girl. She said it took her a little while after she found out but now that her little girl is here she said she couldn't imagine it any other wayChat Icon

I didnt care what I was having with #1 but now that I am pregnant with #2 I really want another girl. I want my daughter to grow up with a sister.
I dont think I will be disappointed with a boy but a part of me really wants another girl.

I was the SAME way...was so excited to hear the sex, that I ended up not caring!!! And now that I shop for boy things...I'm thrilled! I keep thinking about my family in the future and I would def want an older brother to protect his sister!!

I agree. I wanted a boy (but at times I wanted a girl more) but DH wanted a girl, we didint find out the sex until I had the baby and let me tell you there is NO way you will be disappointed no matter what. We had a son and DH is in love with his little boy and I couldnt have asked for more.

When you see/hold your child no matter the sex its the most amazing feeling in the world!

Re: This is probably ridiculous -

I agree with the others, you’ll be happy either way.

That being said, I want a BOY!!!!! (glares at heaven)

Oddly enough though, I have a girls name picked out for YEARS but nothing at all for a boy. I have a rough idea for a boy’s name but the girl, hrmph, that is a given. Go figure!

My DH has two boys from his first marriage, and we both desperately wanted a Chat Icon I wanted something that would be a "first" for me and DH. I was so nervous finding out the sex because I really thought that if I found out it was a boy that I would be devastated. You're not alone in those feelings Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

No you are not a bad mom. I wanted a boy and I had a boy.

But honestly, once the baby was there. I don't think it would have mattered. Even after we found out. I was just so happy to be PG and be a mom.

DH and I always figured we would have 2 kids, a boy and a girl.

This is our first and we're having a Chat Icon so I know that DH will want to try again for a boy!

Wow, I'm in the exact same boat with wanting a boy. We're not finding out the sex so I won't find out until I'm holding my little one! My way of dealing with it is to expect a Chat Icon even though I want a Chat Icon so badly. So far I've had 4 girl dreams and one boy dream...I'm pretty sure it's a girl!

I'm thrilled to hear that there are so many others out there who feel like I do. Thanks for the post!
