sling and bjorn???
I registered for a bjorn and someone bought it. I kinda also want a sling, but don't know if it is redundant to have both. What do you think? TIA!!!

Re: sling and bjorn???
I bought a sling for myself because I'd like it for discreet nursing plus you can put the baby in it from day 1. I registered for (& someone bought) the Bjorn for my husband to use, because a man with a sling looks ridiculous IMHO. Also from what I've heard, the baby needs to be a little bigger to go in the Bjorn, though that might not be correct info. HTH

Re: sling and bjorn???
I got a hotsling for myself....my DH won't wear a sling, so I figure we will also get a carrier as well---I registered for the ergo carrier instead of the bjorn though

we did the exact same thing. the ergo got great reviews, you just can't put the baby facing out in the front, but you can wear them on your back, which you can't with the bjorn.

Re: sling and bjorn???
I have both - I used the sling when she was newborn and I only use the Bjorn when we are walking somewhere - it's a little cumbersome to get on and off...

Peanut Shell- it's fleece & I'm having the baby in Feb, my SIL will give me hers, which I believe is a Mama's Milk if it gets too warm.

Re: sling and bjorn???
Slings are good because you can breastfeed with them, which you can't do with a Bjorn. A sling holds a newborn in a different position and you can use it from birth, in my experience you need to use the Bjorn from when your child can hold their head up.
You can visit babywearing sites to get more information. IMO a sling and a bjorn are two completely different things.
