I just know Im going to get flamed for this but Im surprised at how many people are applauding that the OP "got over" on Target? I'm not saying she purposely stole a carseat but she did walk out with a $100 item that was free by accident... Like I said, I'm more surprised than anything that everyone is cheering. I understand their return policy s*cks, I've been in the same boat as everyone when it comes to returns but that doesn't justify being gleeful about sticking it to them IMO. I always give everyone gift receipts to avoid return problems. Their other issues may be annoying too but it still doesnt make it right.

Why should anyone Flame you...thats your opinion and everyone is entitled to theirs.

I've walked out of Target only to notice my DD has swiped soemthing. This has happened at least 3 times, and everytime I've gone in ( and this is at 3 different Targets) they act ANNOYED I am returning an unpaid item. I am not asking for a ticker tape parade for my honesty, but a " thank you ' would be nice.
I honestly don't know what I'd do if I walked out with an over $100 item.

I agree 100%. If you didn't pay for something, it doesn't belong to you, no matter how you may feel about any particular store or how you justify it. No reason for any flaming here.
