Exercise
I'm sorry for all the questions all at once, I'm new here! Does anyone still exercise, or do you avoid exercise totally. I have a gym membership, and I was going on a steady baisis. I'm not sure if I should stop or not.

Re: Exercise
I still excercise, but it's nothing like the workouts I used to do before.
I have the lowered the amount of weights I use and I stick to the elliptical trainer for cardio. I also keep my heart rate under 140.

Re: Exercise
You can do the same amount of exercise you did pre-pregnancy. I was going to continue but had to stop due to hyperemesis - I couldn't even keep down water or any food, exercise was pointless...

Re: Exercise
I went until the third trimester. I stopped lifting and only did cardio. I got a heartrate monitor to make sure I stayed under 140.

Re: Exercise
My doctor told me not to change my activity levels. I have only been walking for the last year anyway, so I am continuing that. My friend took aerobics classes up until her eighth month. Shejust modified as she went along to what was comfortable.

Re: Exercise
As long as you have the energy for it, and modify the exercises that you are doing.... go for it!

Re: Exercise
I went up until my 6th month. Then I started to get cramping afterward and the Dr. told me to take it easy.

Re: Exercise
I did just about nothing during the first tri once the exhaustion hit me. Towards the end of the 1st tri I started walking a few days a weeks and doing prenatal yoga once a week. 2 weeks ago I was having contractions (18 weeks) so my dr. said no more treadmill. Niw I am just doing my prenatal yoga class once a week and I bought a dvd so I can do it more often at home in addition to my class.

Re: Exercise
exercise is fine as long as its not abdominals and not too intensive. My dr. said to keep my heart rate under 40 (?). No running.. but other than that I exercized upto my 6 month
