So Sad
AF came a day early. I am so upset and feeling very depressed. I do not know how much longer I can take of this. My hubby and I have been ttc for 1 1/2 years and nothing. I refuse to go to any doctors and waste money. I get my period every 27-29 days every month. I am just going to change my life by forgetting the dream of becoming a mother. I just do not understand how and why there are so many people who would be the greatest parents and have extreme difficulties, while others are irresponsible and get pregnant just to abort. I am so sorry if I have made anyone upset, but at this point in my life, I feel like giving up all together. Again, I am sorry

Re: So Sad
I'm so sorry you are feeling this way.. but why don't you want to go to a doctor? I've read on here that usually after about 1 year if you're under 30 or about 6 months if you're over 30 that you should see an RE if you're having trouble getting pregnant.
What methods have you been using? Charting, temping, OPKs? Are you sure you are ovulating?

Honestly, I am scared to go to an RE.
There are SO many girls on here who I'm sure have MUCH more experience with this than I do... but an RE might help you figure out what's going on. Maybe you have an undiagnosed condition that's affecting your ability to get pregnant? Maybe your DH does? There are so many possible problems and even more possible solutions.. so I wouldn't give up! I think it's important that you see someone.
Is your fear of seeing an RE greater than your desire to have a child?
Don't give up.. we are all here for you. You might want to ask for some advice on the infertility board where the girls have more knowledge about the RE experience

Re: So Sad
I will be 29 next month. I am just upset and with AF in full effect, my hormones get all emotional and makes me sad.
I am more afraid that my DH has the problem. He had a hernia surgery when he was younger and he thinks that is the problem. He will not go to a dr and will not participate with submitting a SA for testing.
My true fears is that I will not get to have children with my DH.

DONT GIVE UP!! YOUR TIME WILL COME. I can understand how you feel we are in the same boat. I totally agree with what you mean about irresponsible people. If you talk to your doctors your insurance may cover things if it is a medical reason that can be fixed. Lots of baby dust for you.

Honestly, I am scared to go to an RE.
this is exactly how I felt, in addition to being beyond terrified of doctors of any kind. But I have to say, I'm a much calmer person now that I'm with the RE, and less stressed! I believe this is due to a number of factors:
1. I'm a complete and utter control freak. I need to be in control of myself and my life constantly, TTC you have no control of. Seeing an RE, you are in such a controlled environment, you know exactly what's going on with your body throughout your cycle. I actually take comfort in that!
2. This is their job...their sole purpose is to everything they can to get you pregnant. I also take great comfort in that!

Re: So Sad
Do not give up! There are many wonderful ladies on here and on the infertility board who can give you information & recommendations to see an RE. I completely understand your fear of seeing an RE. If you do to the doctor, you could get news that you do not want to hear. But on the other hand, if there is a problem, not going to the doctor doesn't change it. You will still have a problem, but without the RE, you won't be taking steps towards fixing/ helping the problem so you can conceive.

Re: So Sad
Don't give up . Just face your fears and see the doctor. I had perfect and I mean perfect cycles. I got af every 28 days. you could set your watch by me. And well I have PCOS. I saw the doctor and was put on Metformin. I was pregnant 6 months later. Technically I got pregnant in 3 months because we didn't try for the first 3 months I was on the Met. The doctor said to give it 3 months to adjust. Long story short (too late I know) I am giving birth to my first baby in 13 days . No giving up just see the doctor and come up with a plan. You can still be a mommy you just may need a little help to get there.

Re: So Sad
I am so sorry you are feeling sad. But you really should consider going to an RE. The fact that you haven't concieved in a year and a half means that something is wrong. At first I was really upset when I realized I had to move on to an RE. But since I have been going, I feel more in control. I know that their sole purpose is to get me pregnant. There is nothing to be scared of. I wish you the best of luck.

I completely understand. It took me a long time, and even longer to convince DH.....so far I think it's the best thing I ever did. They will be aggressive with you and get to the bottom of why you are not getting pregnant. best of luck, sorry to hear about af.

You will only know what the problem is once you go to the doctor. I am the same way, I hate doctors. But, you have to take care of yourselves to care for a baby.
My DH had a hernia operation, and we got pregnant...you will never know if that is the issue till you exhaust all the possibliltes!

Re: So Sad
Thank you. I am going to schedule an appointment with an RE that my ob/gyn referred. I will keep everyone posted as to the outcome.
Thank you all for understanding and for helping me (convincing) that going to an RE is the best option to help with my difficulties getting pregnant.
