When TTC who do you see
When TTC should i be talking with my GYN or find an OB GYN. my gyn unforntunately isnt a obgyn. of course she says i am to young but dH and i have great jobs and are ready. I dont think 27 is to young do you?

That's weird. I was 27 when I got pg with my ds! Maybe she meant you are still young you have plenty of time?
If you are TTC then I would think you should find an OBGYN.

her exact words were i really think you 2 should wait your still young. And then she handed me a trial of bc pills that i have yet to take. this was before we left for our honey moon. i guess she didnt take me seariously.

I agree with the other ladies. Def find your self a OBGYN.
One of the first OBGYN I went to see told me that maybe I should focus more on weight loss rather than TTC. Needless to say I grabbed my stuff and never went back. When to TTC is a decision only you and your DH can make.

I don't think you're too young, plus age should not be the issue, some 38 year olds are not established!! I would recommend finding and ob/gyn so you can at least get to know them for when the times comes!! Good luck

That is completely unacceptable! Find a new doc. It's not her business (unless there are medical concerns) when you and DH TTC. She should be there to support you and give you medical advice not tell you you're too young TTC.

I think you should switch to an obgyn this way you can have the same doctor follow you through from ttc to delivery

WOW! That is not good at all! It's not her opinion you're there for! Definitely find another doctor!

Find a new doctor ASAP!!! She has some @#@$%#% nerve!!! You will need an OB as soon as you are PG anyway so finding one before is a nice idea. You can get a relationship with him/her and make sure you like them.

I could see her saying that if you were in your early 20's but I think 27 is a great age to start TTC. If you feel like she won't be supportive, you should def. find a new doctor.

IMO, it really isn't acceptable for them to be telling you that you are too young. I would suggest that you switch doctors, and if you're doing so, you might as well find an OB/GYN that you'll be comfortable delivering with.
I had my DD when I was 18. Yeah, obviously I was young, but she was a pill baby so not exactly planned. At my 6 week PP check up, my doctor was trying to convince me to get an IUD because she said that "Condoms take a lot of responsibility & have to be used consistantly" and she told me that she didn't want to see me in her office pregnant again for quite a while becuase I was so young. Thanks for basically calling me irresponsible & telling me how to live my life. Needless to say, that practice will not be delivering #2 (I'm getting a midwife).
