Well, DH has a pool business, and I'm due Memorial Day weekend, the start of his busy season, so who knows?  The good thing is he makes his own schedule, so I know he'll try to be home as much as possible.

Don't worry, I am in the exact same situation, minus the MIL help and not sure what my mom's story will be. I feel for you! DH works most days and is on call 24/7. I am sure he will get coverage for when I actually deliver, but after that, all bets are off. 
We should help eachother!! Live near Setauket?

we are both teachers and the baby is due in July- so whatever time we have left in our summer vacation. I hope the baby comes early that way we have more time to spend with him/her!
That's so nice because you will get to spend all the summers and vacations as a family! I'm jealous!!!
Mine...only 1 week! Makes me sad

he's probably only going to take 3 days or so. He accrues time starting Jan 1st so he's really not going to have any time since I am due Jan 20th. Any time that he takes, he's going to have to make up.

I am not sure yet.
I get three weeks vacation. Boosh is due anywhere from late May to mid June. I will likely take 2 weeks, beginning from the time she comes home. We also get flex days throughout the summer - so I may wiggle a few in there too.
then i'd take the last week's vacation during the holidays
Also, my company offers a 6-week sabbatical program for employees in their fourth year - I will be starting my 4th year in March. You take 2 weeks vacation, they give you two paid, and two unpaid. I am going to see if I can take 4 weeks, so that I don't lose a paycheck

Basically that's exactly what my DH will be doing, except he'll take the two weeks in sick/personal time if he can, or it will end up being only the four weeks.

Not a clue. DH is an ER doctor and who knows if they'll be generous enough to help him out when the baby is born. I hope a few days!

Like the first he will take off a week, maybe 2. However as long as he is not traveling (which he won't be for 2 months after the birth) he will come home early or go in late. He's able to come and go as he pleases.

2 weeks which will be paternity leave for him and than he plans on taking 1 week of vacation so he'll be home for 3 weeks.

I am very lucky in that DH works from home. He is around all day, everyday. He is a consultant so he mostly makes his own hours too. It will be nice to have him around most of the time.

We haven't really discussed this - this time around. I'm not sure if he has vacation. He can be somewhat flexible so maybe a week after I get home from the hospital.
I guess that we'll have to discuss. This is our second baby so I'm thinking that I might have to see how it goes.
