I always tell people that one of life's greatest gifts is having a sister. It saddens me that my daughter will never have one.
I didn't have a sister - I have 2 older brothers. No one needs to be sad for me. I turned out just fine.

LOL!
JK...well not really. I have 2 sisters but they are 9 &10 years younger than me. I love them to death, but like someone else said, I have a closer bond with my BF of 25 years!
I also have 3 brothers...boy could I think of a few choice quotes for that!

Very sweet quotes. My sister and I are 10 1/2 years apart (I was my parents' "miracle baby"), and we are very close, but she also had a very maternal role in my upbringing - she's my second mom!

I wish my sister lived that close. she lives in CA and I haven't seen her in over 2 years 
but she'll be here on Saturday for a 10 day visit!!

I know you are looking for a qoute, 'BUT' i bought something the other day for my sister and it is sooo beautiful... It goes something like this:

i was passing through an italian festival this summer, and saw this on a plaque...
"I smile because you are my sister....
I laugh because there's nothing you can do about it!"
I laughed and sent my sister a text with it... That's the relationship we have... but she is def one of my BFF... I <3 her...

My sister gave me a frame with our picture that says, "Sisters make the best friends."

My sister is 14 years older than me and even though we used to fight, we were always close.
I was so touched at my bridal shower, my cousin made me a scrap book and in it were all these things that my sister had saved all these years.
"Will you play with me? Check Yes or No? If you don't play with me you are dead meat!"

I was sad about this too, but I am so happy that my sister will be having a baby girl in February. I know my sister and I will make sure that Jaidyn and Olivia (the baby's name) will be as close as sisters
I love this thread!! I am going to use some of these quotes at my sister's baby shower on Saturday!

Funny you posted this...my sister is 8 years younger than me so I have always been a little protective of her. Now that I am 30 and she is 22, I worry about her when she goes to bars etc - the SAME thing I did at her age!
And as many times as we fight and argue, we always make up. I would do anything for her!
