Ok, help me out, this is what I have bought so far...
for Ava for Christmas, and I feel like it's not enough. Any suggestions are welcome....
A bowling set
Dado Squares
Newborn doll
bottles for the doll
highchair for the doll
stroller for the doll
Fisher Price shopping cart
FP cash register
work bench type toy to hammer, etc.
Finger paints.
I don't know what else to get her! We have tons of puzzles and more books that I can keep up with. I also bought her clothes.
Here are the things other people are getting her:
Table and chairs
rocking horse
Dora trike
Ball pit
toy box
What else can I get her? I feel like she's at such an inbetween age and there's nothing out there for her

Ok girls, you have brought me back down to planet earth. I think I'll leave it at that. I have so much guilt over not being home with her all day and well, just over everything, that I always feel like "it's not enough!" for holidays. It doesn't just apply to Ava, I always feel that way for everyone. I guess I need to get a grip

Looks like Ava will have a very Merry Christmas!!
I don't know if you let her watch dvds, but at around 2, my Ava was in love with The Wizard Of Oz, Annie and Grease. She still loves to sing and dance along with them. Some old Shirley Temple is great too.

As far as Christmas shopping, we haven't gotten my kids anything yet  (I did get my son the Smart Cycle already though, so I do have *1* thing).
We don't go crazy with them. My parent's, DH's parents, my 5 brothers and sisters, DH's brother all get them things and after while, it's like Holy Crap, so many things, no where to put them! Your list sounds awesome for Ava. She'll have a great morning.

rach call us up when ava opens all her gifts so olivia can come over and play with them. i must be a bad mommy we got olivia 3 toys and some books. got her a doll that can go in a packinplay, stroller, highchair or carrier. so this wqay when baby #2 comes along she has her own baby, a chair for her big girl room, and still need one more toy. i buy stuff all year long.

OK, seriously, now I feel ridiculous.
My sister and I still get piles of Christmas presents and she's 30 and I'm 28 I guess it's just the way we do Christmas. I honestly didn't think that was a lot! Goes to show you, huh? But, like I said, I'm definitely stopping there because you guys are right, it's enough.

I think what you bought Ava is AWESOME! In my opinion, you got her just enough. Its all what you are used to. My sister, brother and I are like you and your sister. We are treated like GOLD on Christmas morning, like we are still kids. Piles and piles of presents everywhere..so of course Megan will be getting HUGE piles as well. Plus, I think if you dont buy for them all year long..just for birthday and christmas, it makes it special and the amount is absolutely ok.
Ava is going to have a TERRIFIC Christmas!!!!!!!!!!

As someone who was completely spoiled on Christmas I would say you are going to have one THRILLED little girl on your hands.
But...if you absolutely need to get her one more thing...the only thing I could see missing off the list (if you don't have it already) is.....
a Sled.

I think Ava will be very happy Christmas morning. I dont see anything wrong with the amount of gifts you already bought her. My parents always had piles of gifts for my brother and I. They still do and my inlaws are no better!! BUT, not every gift is  . Something can be 100.00 and another gift can be 20.00.
Dh and I went shopping for DS and we went overbaord, but we got excited and couldnt resist buying the gifts we did

Lillian Vernon has a cute snowman kit that comes with the eyes, nose, pipe, etc. So IF we get enough snow, she can dress up her snowman

This is my motto, it just hard since the two days are a week apart.
Josh really doesn't have much at all. I am the ultimate discount clothes shopper. Most of his toys are hand me downs or craigslist finds.
I kept putting everything off for his b-day and Christmas. So, as it adds up, he is going to get a pile, but we rarely ever buy for him throughout the year.
My family is all buying for Christmas and giving a bond for his b-day. They want him to have a lot under the tree.
I am also spending 150.00 on a kid museum membership. Thanks a huge present for him. I also want to purchase a zoo membership.
