Period like cramps at 8 weeks - Update #2

I am sitting at my desk at work having a conversation when all of a sudden I had pretty strong period like cramps.

I could have sworn that she was on her way.

I have had mild cramping lately, but this was a cramp I couldn't really ignore.

I am 8 weeks and didn't make it this far last time around (miscarriage) so I am not sure if it is normal.

I am not spotting or bleeding.


UPDATE

So I started spotting at 8:30. CRAP. I am terrified.
I was spotting at 6 weeks and all was okay last week at my sono and now again it is happening.

The cramps are still there and the spotting/brown discharge is light but enough to freak me out AGAIN. Please send some my way.


UPDATE 2.
I had pretty bad cramps all night and **TMI** a few bowel movements too which is abnormal since I have been constipated. I got in touch with my doctor who pretty much said as long as it was brown it is okay and offered me an appt tonight to make sure all is well.

I took it so I will have more info tonight. Thanks for your prayers and good wishes. Keep them coming

I had cramps around 8 weeks too. Mine ranged from mild to pretty uncomfortable (and I spotted). If you're concerned though, I would call your dr. It can't hurt.

As long as there is no red blood I think you are okay! I have had 4 m/c's and every time there was red blood.

i had lots of cramping at 8 weeks, also with no bleeding...but call the doctor with your concerns...can't hurt to talk to the doctor!

I had a lot of cramping in my first trimester as well, sometimes they were mild and other times they were so bad that I thought I was getting my period!

My doctor told me period cramps were normal and he told me to expect them when I first saw him at 7 1/2 weeks and then again when I saw him at 10 weeks, so they're probably normal!

If it makes you feel any better, I do remember getting one very sharp pain suddenly that early on that made me stop mid-sentence, but it was nothing to be concerned about.

I had cramps for a day a couple of weeks ago, when I would have gotten AF, I read on here somewhere that that is normal...as long as there is no blood you should be clear. I hope all is well! If you are really concerned call your Dr. best of luck!

I had severe cramps for three days straight at 9 1/2 weeks. I was scared b/c I have had a MC before too. It turned out to just be my uteris strechting. My 11 week u/s showed an adorable kicking baby!

If the pain becomes very sharp or if you spot, call your Dr!

I think dark brown is not a bad sign. And a lot of times when you spot early you can expect to spot off and on throughout the pregnancy because the blood might be pool up and can release at any moment. I would suggest calling your doctor though and asking them to see you just to be on the safe side. How severe are the cramps?

I had those type of cramps and if you look to the left...she caused them. The dr told me it was implantation cramping.

I have had cramping my entire pregnancy. I would call your doctor for peace of mind.

I called the office and I am going in later.
Cramps are still bothering me and but hardly any spotting - only when I wipe.
